Daily MelWear: You Look Familiar; Have We Met Somewhere Before?

Heh. It's kind of amusing, actually.

I woke up this morning and knew that I had to be back at work today, couldn't take any more time off, wanted to wear something comfortable, just bought this skirt at the Salvation Army store a couple of weeks ago and wanted to wear it, didn't want to wear it with a typical pink shirt so I grabbed this purple one...

And then I realized that this is almost identical to the outfit that I posted yesterday.

I'm so lame. It's a different skirt, different shirt, but it's almost the same outfit. I did switch up the yellow jewelry for some green instead. Sorry for not really showing you anything different today!

Yesterday was not fun. I didn't get much sleep, really tossed and turned most of the day, felt nauseous, achy, head hurt, didn't eat anything all day (except for three crackers), took some Nyquil and went to bed at 8PM. When I woke up this morning, I realized that I'd slept through (most of) the night, only waking a couple of times but I did get a good amount of sleep.

I feel much better than I did yesterday (read: I'm not going to die anymore), but I know that I might have to leave work early because I'm not quite all there yet. The AC in my office has been fixed so it's the usual freezing temperature, but I still feel like I'm ready to start sweating. We'll see.

Thank you all SO MUCH for your sweet words, comments and get well wishes yesterday! You all really, really brightened my day more than I can express.

I'm going to TRY my hardest to respond and to get back into reading blogs and commenting (although now I'm behind a day), but I'm not sure how much I'll be able to do today.

You guys are all the best. Seriously. THIS is why I started blogging, so that I could get plugged into and become a part of such a FANTASTIC group of people. Thanks for taking me in! :)

Okay I'm going to stop gushing now. I should get a move on to try catching up on reading and responding.

Today's outfit:

Black/White Skirt: Salvation Army

Purple Tee: Plato's Closet

Black Belt: Plato's Closet (came with another skirt)

Black Flats: Target

Green Necklace/JewelryBeya

  1. I'm so glad to hear you're feeling better! It sounds like you had a really nasty bug - no fun at all. Take it easy today!

I love that you went with an outfit similar to one you've worn before and that you know looks fantastic. I do the same thing when I'm on the mend from a bug. I love that mix of print and vibrant color.

  5. I love all your fabulous patterned skirts! Even if it's similar to yesterday's outfit, it is absolutely adorable! Love the green necklace :)

  6. Awesome skirt! Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better. Hopefully you'll continue to be on the up'n'up soon.

Here's another thing to think about with the outfit: The first one was obviously not work appropriate. Just for fun. The second one is an "office wear" interpretation of the first great outfit!

  11. different shirt, different skirt. . but at least interesting variations of a personal 'style uniform' for some time isn't it?

  18. You guys are awesome - thank you all so much for your cheery get well wishes! They did the trick because I felt a lot better shortly afterward.

  19. No, no. They're very different. Was the other day's for the weekend?

Anyway, you just have a set personal style (that I love) which I love. I have one but it's pretty-inclusive and I also play around a lot, like with some trends, as long as I like them.

I repeat stuff too much as well. I get obsessed with things. But I'm worse, and as long as I'm still working on bettering my self-photography, no one has to know. After I post myself more, I must change. Literally, haha.

OK I feel like you'd want me to stop stalking your blog.

BTW I love outside your apartment, too!

  20. Hi Ella! Yes, the other day's version was from over the weekend. Like Megan said, I guess it's a way to show the same style for play and then for work! :)

I can't wait to see you post more of yourself on your blog! And I don't feel like you're stalking at all, the blog is here for you to browse around and comment. I'm glad you found it!
