Daily MelWear: Outfit 21/30 and Fabulous In February!

Hooray! It's MONDAY! The sun is shining, the birds are singing, the grass is green, the coffee is on my desk! Yay for Monday!

Too much? Yeah. It was worth a shot though.

It IS Monday and that means it's time for another installment of Fabulous In February! I'm going to make this one short and sweet because I have lots of work on my desk AND lots of posts from the weekend to catch up on!

Here are my three things for this week.

1. I really, really like my upper body. I'm proud of my biceps, triceps, shoulders, back and chest muscles. It took me a long time to lose weight after high school and then once I had my daughter, I couldn't get the baby weight off on my own. I eventually won a contest and one of the prizes was 20 sessions with a personal trainer. Although I'm not training with him anymore, I'm really proud of the changes to my upper body especially. I still have a lot of work to do on my lower body and mid-section, but my arms are awesome!

2. I like the fact that I care. I care about people and animals and I feel pain when I see others in pain. Seeing an animal on the side of the road makes me cry. I care about making people feel special and important. My parents love telling me the story of when I was in kindergarten and during circle time one day, one of my classmates told us that his dog died. Without hesitation, I stood up to run over and give him a big hug. He wasn't even one of my friends but I felt the need to comfort him. In 2nd grade, one of my classmates was hispanic and didn't speak much English but I wanted to be his friend because no one else would, since they couldn't understand him. To this day I still wonder what happened to him, since my family moved to another state at the end of that year. I may not have the time or the foresight to think about bringing people food during hard times or things like that, but I do everything I feel that I can to be there for people.

3. I'm dependable and I get things done. When I tell you that I'll do something, I make sure I do it. I don't promise my daughter ice cream unless I'm definitely going to take her to get ice cream! Granted, my memory is awful and sometimes I'll forget things but when it's important, I'm there.

  9. Love how you add colorful shirt on your dress! Such a brilliant idea.

These are great stories! I see that you are a caring person. I cry often over sunshine, young freshmen students, and reality TV shows. Would you recommend hiring a professonal trainer? I don't know how to make muscles on my upper body but would love to build them because I want to dance all night on my wedding.

  27. Oh, and btw, about the chinese breakfast! hahaha, most Americans don't know about that. When I lived in the U.S., I tried to find a restaurant that would sell Chinese breakfast but couldn't find one. It's a special menu of bite sized things, mostly boiled. It's all VERY tasty and very popular here in Panama. I'm sure they sell it somewhere in the U.S., so perhaps you'll taste it sometime!

  28. Basic kindness and empathy is something that should be celebrated! Especially now when it seems like everyone has to look out for themselves and try to be number 1. I think it takes a lot of interpersonal intelligence to recognize how others are feeling. But of course, I kind of had the feeling you were that way anyway! :)
And you should give a shout-out to your upper bod. It takes a lot of work to tone those muscles and you should be proud of yourself!

  29. I love the way you belted your ruffly shirt! :)
