Guess what?! We're halfway through with the 30 For 30 Challenge! Woo-hoo!
Did you see that the winner of the Pronta Scarf Giveaway was announced yesterday? AND - there's a special surprise in that post for everyone, too! Go check it out!
I wasn't sure that the collared shirt would work with the cowl neck of the dress, but it's actually not too bad. I especially like my sparkly gray tights! No jewelry today because we're going to deliver the meeting packets to the board members today. We only have to deliver them for the next three meetings and then we're going to an entirely electronic/internet based system! I can't wait! I love learning new programs and software and have already played in the sandbox a little bit. It's so exciting! I'm a dork. I know.
If you didn't get a chance to post for Fabulous In February yesterday, feel free to link up here or here today!
Have a wonderful Tuesday, everyone!
Today's outfit:

i love how your paired a colorful shirt under the dress. and those sparkly grey tights look super cool too.
ReplyDeletecongrats on being halfway through the 30x30. you're doing great!
cute and little
come join the Color Brigade!
Have a great day, Melissa! I think it is awesome you embrace new technology so eagerly and easily - my company upgraded to salesforce.com about a year ago and I still hear the sales team mutter about it sometimes because don't want to spend the time to use it!
ReplyDeleteI love how the collared shirt looks under the dress. I'm so horrible at layering. I will have to remember this.
ReplyDeleteI have a sparkly pair of brown tights. Are yours itchy? Mine are so itchy that I hardly ever wear them.
Check out my cowl scarf give-away!!
Love the layers & stripes, you look absolutely adorbs. AND, yay, to learning new software, I love it too, I'm an absolute adobe geek. xx veronika
ReplyDeleteI like that you paired a grey belt with the grey dress!
ReplyDeleteYou're not a dork :) I love new technology and programs. It's another reason I want to be a librarian. It's not just books!! :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on making it halfway through the challenge! And the sparkly tights are WAY fun -- I can understand your excitement over learning a new program. I'm kind of the same way about learning anything, hahaha!
ReplyDeleteThat tealish green shirt is GORGEOUS on you and you know I'm a huge fan of layering underneath sheath-style dresses. :) Your sparkly tights are incredible and I'm extra jealous of them! I don't think I've ever found sparkly tights that fit me.
ReplyDeleteAlso, every time I look at your shoe shot, with you standing like a flamingo (a very graceful and toned leg flamingo), I freak out thinking of myself in that position. Because... I would just tip right over. It would be a game of Toppling Kimberlies.
Cute layering~ I love how you're doing an alternative 'bling'. Work it!
ReplyDeleteI'm so bad at learning new technology. DX I've gotten much better about it in the past few years though.
I'm glad they are upgrading to electronic and that you embrace change. Sometimes where I wore, I swear people never ever want to change.
ReplyDeleteI think the necklines worked well together.
i love your sparkly tights!!! :D
ReplyDeleteWhat I say is that shirts and dresses go good together everytime! The tights are such a nice touch
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty dress and I love it with the teal!
ReplyDeleteThe cowl neck scarf looks great this way. Funny your close-up photo the colors of the outfit truly show while they look different the rest of your photos. Not sure if it is the flash or the lighting. But I do love the true colors a lot.
ReplyDeleteInteresting - a cowl neck and a button up. May have to give that a try soon. I have this yellow cowl neck top that is just too clingy but might work in that scenerio!
ReplyDeleteLove the tights, too! :)
I love stripes paired with bright color...you executed this outfit so well! Love it!
ReplyDeleteLove the layering and the stripes...really cute outfit....Im posting #14 tonight....cant believe we are halfway there....somedays it feels like its dragging, others not so much...:)

ReplyDeleteWoo Hoo on being half away thru. I love the tights.

i love those tights! and whoo-hoo on half way is right!
ReplyDeleteHmmm... now trying to think of cowl necks I have that I can pair with a collared shirt... thanks for the idea!
ReplyDeleteHow did the board members react to the shiny tights?
I LOVE this outfit!! The cowl neck and the shirt collar work great together! The colors are fabulous, and I ADORE your tights!! Super cute! :)
ReplyDeleteI think the collar works well with the cowl. I like to color. You look great. Sometimes you just have to try things to see how they'll turn out.
ReplyDeleteps Glad so many could join you and hope yesterday :)
The collared shirt TOTALLY works here and I love the color pairing. Happy halfway point to you!
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday! I love learning about new technology too! Loving those sparkly tights and the color paring of this look.
ReplyDeleteI love that dress, and I'm a big fan of the green and gray together. I can't believe we're at the halfway point, already! I'm still an outfit behind, though, so I'll have to try to double up sometime soon so I can catch up :)
ReplyDeleteCute! I see we both ended up with tights today. great combo of the collars, too!
ReplyDeletewhat a lovely sweater dress! you're so creative with how you wore it.

I love your tights! I have the same kind in black and have yet to wear them, but you've definitely made me want to rock them! And how creative to wear a collared shirt underneath the cowl neck!
ReplyDeleteThose tights really make the outfit -- I love 'em!
ReplyDeleteEvery time we get ready for a Board meeting, we just about take out an entire forest. With the last meeting, we sent about 400 pages of materials to the entire Board, and then print enough extras in case each and every Trustees forgot to bring their book to the actual meeting. It's such a lot of paper -- and the shipping costs are astronomical! Maybe someday we'll go paperless...(here's hoping, at least!)
Oooh I love the sparkly tights! And they layered striped dress over the bright shirt. I need to start layering like you do - I absolutely love it!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great dress. I love how you adapted it to the work environment!
ReplyDeleteDig that stripy dress! And that teal is a great color for you. In fact I think most bright colors look awesome on you. Jealous!
