Daily MelWear: Outfit 13/30

Making this short and sweet tonight. I'm exhausted but I want to catch up on reading blogs before I have to go to bed. I just had dinner with my daughter and her dad (he took these with my iPhone; my daughter is in the chair behind me) and she'll be with him tonight and tomorrow night. Which means that on this, my first Valentine's Day being single in over a decade, I'm not going to have my girl with me either. *Sigh*

But I *look* happy in the pictures, right? Right?

Where are those Girl Scout cookies...

Look at those cute little feet in the chair behind me. I love that girl.
Today's outfit:
Black/White Skirt: Salvation Army
Black Tee: Forever 21
Cranberry Cardigan: Forever 21
Gray Belt: Charlotte Russe
Gray Leggings: Charlotte Russe
Black Boots: Belk
Necklace: Gift from my aunt - it's a Bible, isn't that cool?! Since I don't even own a cross necklace anymore, this is a great alternative.

Don't forget, the Custom Designed Pronta Scarf Giveaway ends tonight! The winner will be chosen tomorrow. Get those entries in if you haven't! And Fabulous In February continues tomorrow!!!

  8. Hugs! Fake it until you make it! Also, I'll be alone Valentine's Day evening (which has happened every year that Scott and I have been together), so I revert back to my "secret single behaviour" and watch movies (either SUPER romantic, or SUPER non-romantic: I range from An Affair to Remember to Kill Bill), and spoil myself with candy, all while giving myself a manicure and pedicure.

  11. Skip the cookies and go straight for the booze!
Sorry you won't have your girl on V-Day, but just eat lots of candy, watch crappy tv, and remind yourself that it's just one day that has lots of marketing behind it. :)

  13. Girl if we are ever in the same area let's go thrifting together- you have such great photos from Sally Anne! I love the skirt and your confidence. Single Love Days can be fun too- pamper yourself to some nice wine, a DIY mani/pedi and Glee ;)

  14. Love all the colors. I think it is so great that you guys do stuff together and even go out on dinners. Such a great example to set for your daughter. V-Day is over-rated. If you don't have any other single friends to get together with hope you do something fun by yourself like watch silly movies and eat a cool yummy dessrt or something like that.

  15. Oh I hope it won't be too difficult. Maybe this is something that has to happen so that something even more amazing will be able to come?

  16. Happy Valentine's Day. You look pretty dang cute - and so do those feet behind you!

I have to work late tomorrow night - my husband will be at home on a date with our two girls. I'll be sad to miss it.

  17. Your suede boots add such a street-chic element to your outfit. And you seriously know how to rock the purple, lady. Quite honestly, I'm trying to think of anyone else I know -- virtually or in person -- who pulls off purple so well. It's official, I can't think of anyone else!

I hope V-Day isnt too difficult this year. Your little girl will be back with you soon : )

  18. You look so adorable! V-day is just another day - overrated anyway, just enjoy yourself - maybe treat yourself to something small?

    Have a good day!

  19. I wish I had seen this yesterday. I don't celebrate Valentine's Day at all with my husband so I went and hung out with a girlfriend yesterday and it was awesome.
