Daily MelWear: Jungle Lady

Hi friends!

I hope you all had a great weekend.  My family and I didn't do very much (read: saved money by staying home). It was nice!

Every time I wear this skirt, I think of a jungle.  I adore this skirt.  It's comfortable, so versatile it can be dressed up or down or even worn as a shirt (or a dress if I'm feeling really self-confident, but that has yet to happen) and it fits. That's always a plus.

As much as I'd like to change things up a little, I can't help wearing this pink necklace and earrings with this shirt.  I just love the green and pink shades together. I really wish I had some pink heels though! Or a pink belt.

Or both.

How was your weekend?

Today's outfit:
Green Blouse: Kohl's
Jungle Skirt: Target
Brown Belt: Wal-Mart (um...from the little boys section. Don't judge.)
Brown Studded Heels: Wal-Mart
Pink Necklace/Earrings: Beya

  5. Great outfit and I love low key weekends. I barely left the house at all this weekend and I realized the only money I spent was at the grocery store, which of course, will get me through the week. Woo-hoo for staying in and saving money!!!

  7. Love the green. It's one of those colors that I don't pay much attention too, but it's been screaming my name as of late. I think I need some more green in my life, or at least in my closet :)

  8. Don't worry - I buy belts in the little boys section too! There is even the odd time when I can pick up a pair of tights from the girl's section too! Mostly the footless kind... apparently my leg is longer than the average 10 year olds!

  12. I love this shirt, I rarely see this shade of vibrant green irl but I just love it. My goal for the fall is to wear more green. Thumbs up for a great outfit!

  13. OMG I love the colors in this. You look so gorgeous.

My brown belt with the silvery buckle is a little boys belt. It fits perfectly for a waist belt. Being super-tiny makes it hard to find non-stretch waist belts. Hey, you make do.

  20. Hey, little boys are skinny - no judgements. ;-)

Haha, you're already thinking of ways you could (easily) spend the money you saved. That's what I'd do. *whistles*

  21. Thanks everyone! I really like how this one turned out.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's ever shopped in the little boys (or girls!) department. I kind of wish I could fit into more of those sizes because seriously, there are some CUTE things there!

  25. What a beautiful top/skirt. I definitely think you should try wearing it as a dress. Perhaps with some leggings so that you feel more comfortable with the length?

  26. Peggy and Jamie, thank you!

Jamie, I think you might have something there with the tights. I may have to go buy some pink tights now just to see if I can pull that off. Thanks for the idea!

On second thought, maybe just plain brown ones would be safer... :)
