We did have our Town Hall meeting that we co-host with another department, but when trying to decide on a suit the night before, I just didn't have it in me to wear one, because most of mine include heavy long sleeves. I need more summer suits. The meeting isn't as formal as our board meetings (we have one of those tonight) so I felt like I could get away without an actual suit.
The color combo of gray, black, and red is what lead me to throw this outfit together. I really didn't need the black shirt but just wanted to make sure my neckline was covered enough for my boss's preference, and I liked the double collar with the jacket anyway.
And now if you'll excuse me, I need to go waste some time watching The Bachelorette.
Have a great Tuesday, friends!
Today's (ACK - yesterday's!) outfit:
Gray Dress: Ross
Black Shirt: NY&Co (SO old)
Red Jacket: Can't remember
Black Belt: Ross (came with another jacket)
Red/Black Heels: From my mom
I love the way that you mix and match the items in your wardrobe to make so many stylish outfits. The shoes are great, very feminine.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favorite outfits of yours - you look fantastic!
ReplyDeleteLove the color combo, so chic!
ReplyDeleteYou look great in your non-suit! I always feel so silly when I wear a suit because it just doesn't fit my personality. I can't imagine having to wear one everyday for work!!
ReplyDeleteI like this almost-suit! It looks great on you. And you were probably much more comfortable than you would have been in an actual suit!
ReplyDeleteBravo!!
The colour of that blazer is just lovely! Well done for not giving in to wearing a suit that doesn't fit the weather!
ReplyDeleteYou look great in red! You did a great job dressing for the meeting in a "non-suit" You still look very professional and modest without taking away your sassiness with the red blazer!
ReplyDeleteHeather
I love the grey, red and black together. It's perfect for a meeting. The black and grey are nice and conservative and then, bam, you added the perfect amount of color with the blazer! =)
ReplyDeleteI really like the red and the grey. I have a little red button up I might have to try under or over my grey dress now.
ReplyDeleteRed and grey are a great combo. I really enjoy your blog :)
ReplyDeleteVery nice colour combination and you look great in red. Hope this outfit meets your boss's style guidelines ;)
ReplyDeleteLove the red belted over that dress...looking professional and chic!!
ReplyDeleteFabulous color combo!
ReplyDeleteI think that a skirt and jacket a nice alternative. I don't like wearing suits in the summer!
ReplyDeletelove that combo!!! you are so pretty woman! xxxx
ReplyDeleteThis is another one of those outfits that upon initial sight, really struck me! In my opinion, it looks like you did some color blocking here...and the way you put the pieces together makes for a strong and bold statement.
ReplyDelete(Wait? I hope that would be a good thing with your boss!?)
Anyway, I'm definitely loving this!
You're always adorable! I love to see the outfits you come up with. :) I also wasted some time watching the Bachelorette. I've been trying to stop, but it's so addictive!
ReplyDeleteI love the combo of red and grey and darn it I watched my first Bachelorette last night in San Diego from the hotel and it is quite addictive!
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love Ross? There are so many great finds there! Too bad I don't live near enough to one so I have to make do with the Marshalls and Nordstrom Rack (not that I'm complaining). Great look!
ReplyDeleteGREAT outfit! Really cute together
ReplyDeleteI love red on you! Such a flattering and nice color. I've been watching Bachelorette as well - it is addicting!
ReplyDeleteI agree that the double collar looks fantastic...such a great outfit :)
ReplyDeleteAnd as for the bachelorette...hoo, buddy. She seems like a trainwreck, I swear. Poor girl...
