So, HIIIIII!!!!
It kinda stinks when you forget to set your alarm. Oops. Good thing I picked out my clothes last night instead of waiting until it's time to get in the shower like I usually do.
Today was supposed to be the day when our boss gave us her decision on our dress code requests. However, she said that she didn't have much time to ponder them over the weekend so she would need today to do that and she'll let us know tomorrow. That gives us one more day to pray hard for her understanding and agreement!
And in more exciting news, Nelah of 52 New Days has been working hard for a while now on a new blog design for A Working Mom's Closet! We're getting very close to being able to install it and I. Can't. Wait. She has done an amazing job and I'm so, SO excited for you to see it!
Hope you all have an awesome Monday!
Today's outfit:
Polka Dot Dress: Ross
Purple Cardigan: Plato's Closet
Belt: Gift from my mom
Heels: Wal-Mart
I really like this outfit. It's so cute. I told Jennifer that I want more dresses for the spring (if it ever decides to get here) and the summer. And those shoes!!! Those are some awesomely HAWT shoes!!! They would look really good with my outfit today.
ReplyDeleteYou may have been running late but you still look cute and have a great smile on your face. :) Hope it goes well with the dress code decision.
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit. It's adorable as is. I initially thought: "other than the skirt length, this is a great outfit for the dress code..." forgetting of course, the blue might be too bright. So I mentally swapped it out for a white or baby blue cardigan. Still haven't figured out a solution to the skirt issue. Keeping my fingers crossed this outfit will be deemed acceptable under the new dress code anyway!
ReplyDeleteI always have the opposite happen: I only work one day a week, but I always wake up 10 minutes before the time that alarm would go off (regardless of day) and have to remind myself: "It's Monday, go back to sleep" or "It's Tuesday, and yes, your alarm is set"
I really like the purple cardigan. It is perfect for spring!
ReplyDeleteYay, on the new design that's so exciting. And you look absolutely adorable (as always) love the shape of the skirt + that cardy is SO fab. xx veronika
ReplyDeleteThis is definitely a favorite of mine on you!
ReplyDeleteYou may be late, but I think this might be one of my favorite outfits that you've put together!
ReplyDeleteYou are too adorable!! Love your dress with the spring cardi and that fun belt!
ReplyDeleteI love your pose in the top photo! You're too cute! A) thank you for your commitment, B) I wouldn't look nearly as polished if I woke up 2 hours late, and C) fingers crossed for a lightening up of the dress code!

This looks totally work appropriate to me! I hope your boss agrees. The way you belted the cardigan is so flattering to your figure!! I'm always so pleased with myself when I pick out my outfits the night before, I don't know why I don't do it more...

I love the micro polka dots and the texture on your heels. They look like tweed or flannel perhaps?
ReplyDeleteYou dress code proposal sounds like it was thoughtfully executed, with very reasonable concessions for ways to accommodate the stricter, hospital-wide code when necessary. Kudos! Fingers crossed your boss agrees!
What a fab outfit!! I love those cute little pumps and the bright purple top is a great color on you:) Good luck with the dress code revision.
