Daily MelWear: Pink and Turquoise

So this skirt is really way too long. I bought a wide brown belt at the Salvation Army last weekend and had the idea to roll the skirt up {quite a few times} and wear the belt to camouflage the roll.
I like this length much, much better!

By the way...this is me with no make-up.  I'm feeling lazy.

Today is Friday, which means Mommy Day!  I have Fridays off from work so I get the day with my girl.  Today's activities include grocery shopping at Publix and Aldi, lunch with Daddy, home for nap, then trying to clean the house tonight.  Because I should probably do that every now and then, right?

Yeah.

How often do you all clean your floors?  How often do you sweep/vacuum/wash the floors in all of the rooms?  What are your favorite cleaning products and equipment?  I love the Swiffer Sweeper Vac although the charge doesn't last long enough for my preference, and I use the Swiffer WetJet to clean the floors.
Okay, enough about housework.  Here's today's outfit:

Brown/Turquoise/Cream Floral Skirt: Target (pre-pregnancy)

Pink Tee: Target (pre-pregnancy)

Brown Belt: Salvation Army

Pink Flats: Target

Turquoise Necklace and Earrings: Wal-Mart

  1. I hate house work, and would do my floors once a fortnight if I was lucky, I only have a small place so it doesn't take that long. Now i am selling my house and people are coming through looking at it all the time so I sweep every day and vacuum once a week.

  3. Thanks for popping by my blog. I think the pink and turquoise is a great combination. I wish I could be colorful and adventurous!
(And I totally agree with your argument about colors and weddings. Only what the bride thinks matters.)

  4. Lovely colors! The pink is very pretty on you. I love your necklace.

I'm constantly cleaning something. But I only take care of my small room and the bathroom, so it's no big deal.

  5. Meek - hope everything goes well with the sale of your house! That can be so stressful. Hope it goes quickly for you!

Mariel - I can't wait to see your take on the color combo!

Rad - You can be colorful and adventurous! I wasn't for a long time. I've gotten inspiration from lots of other bloggers. There's one in particular that I'm thinking of but I just starting her in my reader and can't remember the site. When I come across it next, I'll let you know. She's adorable and fabulous and SO colorful!

Megan - thank you! Oh, how I wish that was all I had to clean. I almost didn't clean at all yesterday but I ended up doing the floors, at least. That's always the worst part!

  6. I love that you repurposed this skirt and shortened it to fit your needs. You might want to think about doing an easy hem on this so you don't have to worry about rolling it up each time.

  8. Becca - I would...except that I don't know how to sew. At all. I can't even sew a button. It's awful!

Marie - thanks! I love all the color combinations you put together!
