Thanks for being so sweet about my beltlessness (yes, that is now, in fact, a word) yesterday. I'm glad I'm not alone in feeling naked when I'm missing a favorite accessory. It really was pretty comfy and maybe I'll go beltless again, but not today.
Clearly.
We had a little class type thing in our office so I wanted to make sure I did the closed-toe, no jewelry, jacket thing. Yes, there's pattern and more color than I'm sure Corporate would like, but...really, this isn't too far out of code. I think.
I can't belive there's so much talk already about fall. Listen, I live in Florida, we don't really get a "fall" season here. It goes from hot to not-as-hot. Sometimes I think I'd like a real fall with the changing leaves...but then I remember how much I hate being cold and suddenly I'm okay with leaves going from green to dead. I like my Florida sun too much.
Although, I will admit to being a little excited about wearing tights again. They're fun. And my leopard booties. Also fun.
Have a great day, ya'll!
Today's outfit:
Dress: Target
Jacket: Ross? Eh...
Belt: Wal-Mart
Heels: From my mom
The red jacket is really cute and fits your great! Texas doesn't have much fall either..but I still love the season!!
ReplyDeleteI love living in New England and having four seasons. I'm pretty sure I'd melt in Florida. Although your beltless outfit was lovely, I love the white belt with the red jacket. I'm also crazy about those shoes!
ReplyDeleteYou have leopard booties?? So freaking awesome! You look great Melissa, love the bold color combo...and I so wish I lived in a warmer climate, I HATE the cold!
ReplyDeleteYou're not missing out on too much, especially if it rains a bunch in the autumnal months. You can never dress right for the weather.
ReplyDeleteYou look so cute! I Love (yes capital L) this outfit. Very crisp and clean. I could totally see something like this as a lookbook look for any number of different companies. That watercolor-esque dress is adorable.
Those shoes are fabulous!!!! Oh my gosh, just love them. And then you have leopard booties!!! It's heaven :)
ReplyDeleteYou are not missing out much with the leaves changing, then you are stuck raking them and that is NOT fun!

I think I have the green and yellow version of that dress! I never thought to add a blazer over it... Thanks for the inspiration! And you look gorgeous. I think red just might be your color!
ReplyDeleteThis looks rally amazing. I love it. Seriously am in love with it. I am with Emmy above - this is probably one of your best outfits, I think.
ReplyDeleteTHe red and blue look great together! I never would have thought to put them together but they work!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute look!! The cropped belted jacket makes your waist look itty bitty and the bright color brings the eye upward. Both of which I love!! Great look darling!

I live in Michigan and we pretty much get 9 months of winter 1 month of fall and 2 months of summer. So, I'm not very excited for the end of summer. At all.
ReplyDeleteI do get excited, however, about such great combos of red, blue and white!
I would have never thought to pair a red blazer/jacket with that dress, but I LOVE IT. You look great!
ReplyDeleteI love all of the seasons we have in the UK but the last few years we seem to have missed out on summer my favourite season of all.Love this outfit. The red with the print is unexpected but works well.
ReplyDeleteThe red jacket ROCKS this outfit... and I L-O-V-E the shoes! Everyone should have a pair like that!!! You look radiant lately... things must going ok for you - I am so happy to see your smile! Big hugs!
ReplyDeleteFun!! Those shoes are sweeeet.
ReplyDeleteYou know, it's so funny...at the end of winter, I wanted nothing more than to burn my boots and go tight-less. Now? I'm beyond excited for boots and jeans. I think I'd be much happier if seasons were only two months long :)
ReplyDeletewhoop - there it is! The dress that is - blues look great with the red!
ReplyDeleteI love fall! But, could also do without winter. I love how you match things I would never think of, and it works!
ReplyDeleteI like your blog! It's really nice! Please visit mine, and tell me what do you think!

ReplyDeleteFlorida and Texas have similar seasons...we only have two: summer season and hurricane season! Lol! I definitely do appreciate some cooler weather, though, just so I can break out the tights and boots, too!
