Daily MelWear BBCA: Wearing the Pants

I am entirely not used to wearing pants anymore. I'm never quite sure how to make them work for me, but this outfit turned out okay.

Jeans are a different story...those rarely turn out okay! I need to work on those.

So give me your thoughts on jeans and pants. Do you like them, do you not? Why or why not? What do you wear with them?

I hope you've all had a great start to your week and that it just gets better!

Today's outfit:
Slacks: Charlotte Russe
Pink Blouse: Gift from ML
White Cardigan: Target
Pink Heels: Plato's Closet

  1. You have paired your pants perfectly! I especially like the pink pumps. I typically wear pants and jeans more often when the weather cools down...so for Texans that may be 4 months out of the year!

  2. Your pants look great! Love them with the pink shoes :)

Pants for me need to be either wide legged or skinny. I also like dark wash trouser jeans. They are very comfortable, can be dressed up or down, and flattering on every figure! Heather

  6. Love those shoes....I was wishing for a rose or wine colored pair of shoes this morning. But, I don't have one so I went with boots. I will blog it in a little while.
I think you look really great today. The pants are nice. They look classy, and I love the white sweater!!

    Have a great day!

  8. I have a love hate relationship with most pants. I love the way you look in these. They aren't too tight or baggy and they look beautiful with the bold colors. Simple but pretty.

  9. I love jeans. That are easy to wear but they downside i find is I get lazy with them. I love you shoe. I love skirt too.

  10. Slacks are really the same thing as skirts... The trick is to find the pair that suits you the best, I like how you paired the pink ruffle top with these trouser style jeans! My first pink outfit will be Friday ;)

  11. Great outfit - I love the pink shoes with it! I prefer pants. It is cold in my office, and I have to both sit a lot and walk around a lot. I feel that pants are more comfortable for what I do. I like pants with a longer fitted shirt and a cardigan on top, quite similar to the outfit you're wearing here!

  12. You know that I think pants are evil...ha!! I think those trousers look great on you! Love the ruffly pink shirt!

  13. The biggest benefit to pants is not having to shave your legs. That alone turns me into a pants loving person!

  14. Hooray for pink on pink! I love trousers. It's really hard to find the right fit, but when you do it's as satisfying as zipping into a perfectly fitted dress. Sometimes you don't want to deal with tights and skirts and everything sticking together.

And pants don't only have to be khakis, dress pants or jeans. Corduroys are awesomely comfortable and cozy in cold weather, linen pants - while wrinkly, are way breezy in hot weather.

  19. P.S. I have love hate relationship with pants, too. Skirts and dresses are so much easier. There are too many places on pants to contend with: waist, hips, thighs, butt, back of knee, length. Denim tends to be easier, though.

  20. Oh, I think you did great with these pants! And I love the ruffle detail on the blouse.

I have to say, though, I have the exact opposite issue with pants, in that I'm fine with jeans, but dress pants always throw me for a loop. I think it has something to do with the thicker denim material being more forgiving than the dress pants I always try to wear...

  21. I'm definitely a pants girl. You can wear anything with them. Sometimes I even wear my dresses over jeans! (I know that style went out years ago, but with the right pieces it works for me).
