Oh, you guys. I don't even know how to begin this post.
Those of you who have been reading for a while know all about the changes I've gone through in the past year. You know the ups and downs, you know about the difficult times and many of you know about all the new and happy things I have in my life now.
Life is good. I'm happy. But I'm BUSY! There are new things that are taking up a lot of time in my life, things that are making me very happy, that I want to focus on, and things that are VERY important to me.
Lately it's been difficult for me to keep the blog together; I haven't been able to keep up with Proper Professional, I haven't been able to get guest posts together that I'm expected to write, I haven't had anything interesting to write about in my regular posts because my mind is on other things, and I obviously haven't been able to read and comment on other blogs in a month or two.
So, with that...yes, my friends, I think I'm going to have to step back from A Working Mom's Closet for a while and take a break. I have no way of knowing how long this break will last. It might be a few weeks, a few months, or I may find that I just can't get back to blogging.
I feel horrible taking this leave right in the middle of the BBCA challenge but I realized that I have to do what's best for me, for my family and for my life. I can't force myself to post every day when it's become so stressful for me. But I have updated the list of bloggers participating so you should definitely check that out and I strongly encourage all of you to keep it up!!!
The main reason I started blogging was to become a part of the community and get to know all of you fabulous people, and I'm SO glad I've had that opportunity! I don't want to lose those connections, so please keep in touch with me through Twitter and email {aworkingmomscloset a gmail.com}.
You guys have been so fantastic, so very encouraging and supportive, and you've helped me through one of the most difficult and challenging times in my life. I can't thank you enough. I hope you'll all stay in touch!
I love you guys!!!
Melissa, Of course, we will miss you...but you have to do what is best for you and your daughter!! It is quite a time consuming commitment to do a blog....but your life is what is the most important!! Let me know if you have any prayer requests by email! You are an impressive young lady...now go for it! Accomplish great things!
ReplyDeleteYou will definitely be missed but, like I said before, real life always takes precedence of blogging life. I wish you all the best. Thanks for all the kind words along the way.

I'll miss you, but I completely understand. I've considered (and done) the same several times. Thanks for all your kind comments!
ReplyDeleteMelissa, you shouldn't feel guilty at all for doing something that is right for you. You know I will miss your posts but I hope you do decide to come back. I am also glad that you are so happy and doing well even though things are a bit hectic and busy right now.
ReplyDeleteMelissa I'm sooo happy thtat you are happy!!! The blog will be missed but family and your happiness is more important, take care and keep in touch!
ReplyDeleteWe'll miss you, but don't feel bad at all! Enjoy the extra time you'll have to spend with your family and friends. Take care!!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that what's keeping you busy is making you happy! You deserve all the happiness in the world!
ReplyDeleteI'll miss your posts, but we can still keep in touch. And hopefully, it won't be a permanent break from blogging. ;)
I'm glad to hear you are happy. Take you time. Take a break is a nice thing to do for yourself. I did it in July and August and it was a good thing for me. We will miss you.
ReplyDeleteI will miss your daily blog! It's great for you that you are happy and you DO have to do what is best for you. Best wishes to you!
ReplyDeleteWe will miss you, but are so glad you are happy! Real life takes precedence over blogging, but we will miss seeing your daily posts. Hopefully you won't be gone too long :)

I'm trying to come up with some cheesy "bros before hoes" type line, but I just can't, it's too early in the morning! Be sure to keep in touch, and only stay away as long as you need, and not a second longer! Will this mean more time for commenting, or just more time for a certain male and a little princess?
ReplyDeleteOf course you will be missed but I am so happy for you for the need for a break. The reason is awesome. You do what you need to do. And don't even think about not chatting with me, lady!! :)

I can totally understand. It seems I didn't blog the whole month of Sept! YIKES!!! I say, do what you need to do and take a breather and when you come back, we will all be here! I hope all is well with you and look forward to keeping up with you via Twitter in the meantime.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're taking time out for you. Blogging is a fun hobby - it DEFINITELY shouldn't be a stressful burden. You go enjoy life and when and if you return we'll still be here. And of course I'll keep in touch!
ReplyDeleteJenn
I will miss your posts. :(
ReplyDeleteAwww, I'll miss your posts, but definitely take the time for you and your family!! We'll be here when you get back. =) And if I'm ever headed to Disney or Universal Studios, you're the first person I'm contacting! =)
ReplyDeleteI will miss your beautiful smile, but completely understand priorities and life and family are tops on the list. Blogging should be fun, not a chore! Take however long a break is needed, but make sure ya come back to us (feeling refreshed, of course). Ya hear?? Best wishes, Mel.
ReplyDeleteAwww, hun, do what you need to do for you. Keep in touch though. I want to know how you're doing. Sometimes blogs end, go on hiatus or just need a short break. Figure out what you need for you.
ReplyDeleteYou will truly be missed Melissa! Take all the time that you need :) Best of luck!
ReplyDeleteYou'll be missed, but, real life is always more important. Enjoy your time away.
ReplyDeleteYou know your readers will support you no matter what! Have fun on your break. Everyone deserves one. :)

I completely agree with everyone else's comments above - we'll miss you, but real life takes precedence! Since I've only recently discovered your blog, I can go back to the beginning and get to know you more that way. Blessings to you in this next chapter of your life!
ReplyDeleteTake all the time you need! I am just glad you realize your limits and take care of yourself!
