There's no Proper Professional post today because (and if you follow me on Twitter or Facebook, you've already heard this) the hard drive on my MacBook crashed on Friday, so I've been computer-less all weekend.
I have to be honest though, it was kind of a nice break. Now I have to rush to get caught back up in responding to comments and emails and things, but it really was nice to be unplugged for a while. Although I do have my iPhone, I find it easier to do most of my work on the computer so I've read all my emails; I just haven't replied yet. And since I couldn't get the Proper Professional post prepped, this will be the first time I have to miss a Monday. I feel awful about that.
Okay so back to the task at hand: it's time to gear up for the Blogging for Breast Cancer Awareness Challenge!!! If you're a new follower and aren't familiar with it, click here for more information.
I'm really excited about this, it's one of my favorite times of year and I think this is a fantastic way to raise awareness all month long, rather than just on one day. If you can only do one day, or a week rather than the entire month, that's absolutely fine. Just let me know when you plan to do it and I'll include those dates with your link.
Without further ado, have at it! Leave a comment, let me know if you'd like to participate this year, and I'll start up my list to post as soon as we begin!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and that you've had a great start to this new week!!!
So sorry to hear about your computer!
ReplyDeleteYes! Sign both me and Kayla up! We have had two family members affected by breast cancer, so this is something near and dear to our hearts.
Hopefully the computer is repairable! And don't feel bad - glitches happen!
ReplyDeleteAre you going to have a "closing date" for the challenge? Life is still unscheduled here (unscheduled sounds so much better than: "desperately seeking employment" doesn't it?), so I will be involved in at least a small way, but maybe a big way!
I'm doing the entire month of October like I did last year, personally (I even wore pink on Halloween!), but if anyone else wants to do just a week or something, that's fine too.
ReplyDeleteAck! Computer troubles. Hope it all works out.
ReplyDeleteI have less pink than ever before, but I think I can do a week. - probably the first week of October - though I'll try to put in my pops of pink throughout the month.
I never wear pink, but I *am* doing Race for the Cure this month! In fact, I'm #5 in my area in donations. So blessed!
ReplyDeleteOooo Oooooo I want to be a part of this. I love wearing pink. And I will do just about anything for an excuse, er reason, to wear more pink. Plus, my great grandmother is a breast cancer survivor. It cost her her left breast way back in the days of radical masectomies, but she survived!!

Hope you get some more PP sign ups - they're a great feature.
ReplyDeleteI may try to participate a day, but you know I'm not a pink-girl. I'll have to figure things out since my next week is completely unknown much less next month.
Hi Melissa! I'll definitely be participating, hopefully 1x a week will work? I have an aunt who battled breast cancer 3x, she's alive and well! Thank you for sponsoring this challenge :)
ReplyDeleteI definitely want to participate...breast cancer runs in my family, and I absolutely want to do whatever I can to participate in the month that raises awareness for the disease.
ReplyDeleteCount me in! I will do my best to add daily pink to my wardrobe (and life!).
ReplyDeleteI would love to participate Melissa! What an amazing idea you have!
ReplyDeleteSorry about your computer trouble!
ReplyDeleteSorry about your computer :(
ReplyDeleteCount me in for BBCA! I don't blog every day, but I will participate as much as I can throughout the entire month. Such a good cause!!!
I definitely want to be involved but like Cara, my life come Oct will be unscheduled and in another country. I'll do my best to take part!! I just bought a new external hard drive as I'm terrified of crashing!! Hope it's all ok!
ReplyDeleteSorry about your computer.
ReplyDeleteSign me up. i'm so ready for this. When I told people I wore pink for 31 day in October. They were shocked last year.
Sign me up! Now, I just have to go through my closet and find all my pink!!
ReplyDeleteI'll do it. Only have enough pink to do 1 week though.
ReplyDeleteI'll gladly join you for October's Blogging for Breast Cancer Awareness! My MIL was taken by another form of "female" cancer four years ago - in October - so ever since, I've worn a touch of pink that month to honor her memory. It will be good to join some other "pinkies"!

Breast cancer unfortunately runs in the family - I think I have enough pink for one week? I'll have to get a-thrifting! :)

The Suburb Experiment
I am in for the days when I think to get dressed and post! LOL
ReplyDeleteSign me up, please! I don't have much pink in my closet, but maybe by raiding my mom and sister's closets, I can get in a few outfits!
ReplyDeleteHm, I coulda sworn that I signed up last week. Well, here I am again! Sign me up. I don't have much pink, but will wear some next month for the cause.
