After the last few outfits of trying things I wasn't real crazy about, I decided to stick with my tried and true formula of a pencil skirt, blouse, belt, and heels. And leopard. There is truly nothing better than a good leopard print, especially in a stiletto.
This is typical me. It's comfy. It's familiar. It's not particularly creative or inventive, but it works. The one creative element is that I turned the belt around (groundbreaking, I know) so that the studs are in the front and more part of the overall outfit.
I know a lot of people have their typical outfit formula. What's yours? What do you think it is that makes it work for you?
Have a fantastic Thursday, friends!
Today's outfit:
Skirt: Ross (part of a skirt suit)Blouse: Charlotte Russe
Belt: From my mom
Leopard Heels: Payless
Cute outfit. I find myself to be a cami girl. I have one on it ever outfit.
ReplyDeleteSometimes tried and true is best! It's fun to experiment, but being happy, confident, and comfortable in your clothes is most important!
ReplyDeleteLike you, typical outfit formula, pencil skirt, top and heels or jeans and a cute cardigan and scarf! Heather
I love the reversed belt, actually. My go to is pencil skirt, top (tucked in, please), belt, cardi, and heels. I always feel comfortable and put together in that particular combo.
ReplyDeleteThere's a reason we keep reaching for these tried and true combos - they work!
I love those leopard print heels!! You look great, so your formula is working, girl!
ReplyDeleteMy go to work look is usually a sheath dress and a cardi. When not at work, it's some form of dressed up jeans and a tee. It's what I feel most "myself" in!
SHINY BOOBIES are very "in" for fall!
ReplyDeleteMy normal wear is super hawt. It revolves around what is clean. Usually jeans and a shirt. Sometimes that shirt may look a lot like a t-shirt, other times, I may dress it up. You know, wear one without college logos on it. When I fancify myself for work, I often wear navy blue scrubs and a top. For effect, I wear the embroidered lab coat, so as to make me look more professional in the naive eyes of my students.
You look so chic and shiny! (more like Firefly usage of shiny, but I like your top too). And can I steal your belt? It's pretty badass.
ReplyDeleteLeopard always makes everything better...you look awesome!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a pretty shade of blue! My go to for work is a dress with tights/leggings and boots. For the weekend, jeans, cute top, flats or boots.
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is so cute. A ladylike skirt and blouse with rock'n'roll elements of leopard and studs. I always have that issue with studded belts. I love it turned around.
ReplyDeleteSo I'm sitting around this morning thinking that I don't have a uniform because I've been out of an office for too long. And then I get dressed. Yup, apparently I have a uniform. Pants. Layered shirts. Blazer.
ReplyDeleteI always go for the trusty cardi and slacks combo. It may be boring but it keeps me from getting locked up for indecent exposure. Love how the belt give the classy look a little edge!
ReplyDeleteThe teal top is really eye catching, so I think that it looks nice paired with more basic pieces.
ReplyDeleteI use my leopard flats for my standard go-to outfit of ruffled top with black pants. great minds style alike :)
ReplyDeleteClever belt rotation!
ReplyDeleteyou're wearing one of my fave shirts again!!! i love it. and those mary janes are so cute, i wanna snag those!!!

I love your "typical you" style! That shirt is such a great color on you. I LOVE your belt. I'm a fan of "most" things studded. You look adorable!!
ReplyDeleteYou will usually find me in jeans! I'm a mom of a 1 year old so it's just practical most days :)
I always feel comfortable in a pencil skirt. You are definitely right about those shoes, they are amazing.
ReplyDeleteLove those shoes! Payless? I need to check them out for fall!

Minus the belt, that's pretty much my office 'uniform', too...I am a firm believer that you can't go wrong with a great pencil skirt :)
ReplyDeleteAnd leopard heels, for that matter...I love your shoes!
