Daily MelWear: Wrap It Up

I'll be honest; I had no idea what to wear today.  I usually have some kind of an idea but this morning, my mind was blank.  I've been feeling a cold coming on (Aw crud, I forgot to take my echinacea this morning!) and I should have maybe dressed more comfortably but apparently I decided a belt was a fabulous idea.

I haven't worn this skirt in a very, very long time.  It's from the pre-pregnancy era and I love it, although the hem seems to be coming out a little in the back. I've always worn it with a matching blue or green shirt and brown accessories.  Now that I've been reading wardrobe blogs, the idea came to me to layer a white button-down on top and belt it!  I've also seen a few bloggers wrap shirts instead of buttoning them.  I've tried it once before and it was just okay but I'm giving it another shot.  It doesn't stay wrapped, that's the problem. I have to keep pulling it across all day long and that gets slightly annoying.

By the way, just in case you're wondering, wearing a skirt  and kitten heels while going around the street picking up your recycleables (that were put out the night before) because the storm blew them everywhere isn't the most fun thing to do.  Especially first thing in the morning (okay third thing, I did work out and shower first).  Before coffee.  Not the most fun at all.

Today's outfit:

Skirt: Target (pre-pregnancy)

Green T-shirt: Target (pre-pregnancy)

White Shirt: Can't remember (pre-pregnancy)

Tan Belt: Wal-Mart (girls' department!)

Nude Kitten Heels: Target

Blue Necklace and Earrings: Beya
